The main thing is that you start off pretty weak in either system (aside from Force-users in Saga) nowhere near the level of most characters in the movies. That said, lightsabers are really scary weapons, even without the talents that let you block blaster shots. Force powers are a major XP sink, so while you can be pretty awesome and bend reality in familiar ways, it comes at a cost of overall effectiveness. But there are no levels - you purchase skill, talent, or force upgrades with XP in whatever fashion you like. There are 6 stats that mostly correspond to the 6 D&D stats (Str & Con get combined, Intelligence is split into Int and Cunning), the skill list will look familiar to anyone who knows the d20 D&D skill list, you have a kind of HP/VP split and armor as DR, and there are even feats (named talents) after a fashion. Force users start out AWESOME and then everyone else slowly catches up over 20 levels - hope your game lasts that long! It also introduces the weirdness that grenades are the best way to beat a Jedi, which is a bit strange since I don't think we ever see grenades even used in the actual movies?ДЇFG's system is, dice aside, not all that different from d20 on the surface.

But the Saga system also has some serious balance problems with the Force. I'm with robert4818 that d20 just isn't a good fit for Star Wars, and my experience playing largely bore that out.
